Power of Resistance

Teachers at Garfield High School are showing educators all over the country what resistance looks like. By a unanimous decision, they are refusing to give the MAP test, claiming that the annual exam is counterproductive and does not serve the best interests of their students. Despite the false advertising of its acronym, teachers are arguing that this test does not accurately measure academic progress and skill in reading and math and is a waste of school resources and instructional time.
